About Us
How it started
In 1998, Eunice Rejoice Mweli, a dedicated teacher in Molweni, Hillcrest, left her teaching job to follow her passion for helping less privileged children. Her love for children began in her own childhood, and she often cared for other kids in need. As a teacher, she noticed many students whose parents didn’t pick them up, leading her to investigate their circumstances. Eunice discovered that these children often came from homes with absent parents. In response, she made the decision to welcome these vulnerable children into her own home
How its going
Over the next 25 years, she felt a calling to this mission, driven by her faith and determination. The Siyajabula Trust Children’s Home was established along the way and is currently home to 55 children aged 6 months to 23 years. Her journey stands as a testament to the power of compassion, Christian values and a steadfast commitment to improving the lives of less privileged children.
A plan for the future
Our vision is to provide all children in our community with the opportunity to attend ModelC schools. We want to offer our children access to a high-quality education that equips them with the skills and knowledge necessary to thrive in an increasingly difficult economy and create a brighter future filled with opportunities for personal and academic growth
